I couldn't help it, but if there is any fantasy related I'm interested to join in. They are very long novels, sister and I agree it's a bit draggy, but I was impressed by the movie which caught me to read novels and compare.

I read The Hobbit and liked it a lot, but I could not finish The Fellowship. I got halfway through and stopped reading. I suppose it was too boring for me. :/ That's just my opinion, though. I don't think I like old fantasy novels in general, though. I didn't like the Chronicles of Narnia or the Wizard of Oz series. I know they're for young readers, but I read them at age nine or something and didn't really enjoy them. I do like Charmed Life, though, Diana Wynne Jones. There's a whole series. I'm not done reading them all yet, but I'm a third through. I don't know why I like them so much, but I do. Then again, you might want something more mature, but I like that about the books, actually. How they're written for children.

Charmed life? Wow, I can think of many possible things I can do this year. I can search the novels recommended and this Charmed Life!

It's not actually about Charmed xD And it was a random suggestion. And it is written for children. I still like it, though. Whatever xD All of the new fantasy novels I've read were... meh. Nothing really stands out for me, so I cannot think of any more. Especially not like the Lord of the Rings. Although, I've heard that the Song of Fire and Ice is a good book. I haven't read it yet, but I ordered it from the library. There are like a billion holds on it, though, so I doubt it will come any time soon.
